The point is they are overrated. I kept hearing how tough the conference was and I bought it. Pittsburgh had the easiest road they could have ever asked for and couldn't beat a down Butler.
St. John's - Forgot to show up.
Louisville - Embarrassesd.
Georgetown - Embarrassed.
Nova - Lost to George Mason.
Maybe the rest can salvage the conference's rep, but I won't bet a dime on them.
No, I am agreeing with you here that there are only two left because they played each other. Big East basketball is wayyyyy overrated and has shown over the past cpl years.

there is no doubt the conference under-performed on the whole. However, there are some things that people who know the conference weren't suprised by. St. John's (injury), G'Town (Wright coming back from injury), Nova (slide to end the season), and ND (short rotation and history of not shooting well in the tourney).
