for this ridiculous bs game to get another bubble conference team in the tournament...seriously....providence getting a "quality" win against a #1 will help the big east get another money producing team in...what a crock of sh!t....if someone doesnt look into the big east and this game i have lost all faith in college sports

I didn't watch it but see from a couple on the board here they feel the same way. Did the commentators say anything about the calls?

Ohio but not a Buckeye
The commentators thought Blairs 5th foul was legit, and said "see, look at him stick his elbow out," yet, he never stuck his elbow out, it was a scronny fuck running into a brick wall, and the acting begun.

If you don't understand that it's all about money, you will have a lot of losers. The teams that are out of it will get no help from the refs and the bubble teams will get a lot of help. The more teams in post season, the more money for the confer and the teams.

Providence is not anywhere near a bubble team.

Dude, with all due respect, Providence has a lot of talent. They are the only team in the entire nation that starts 5 1000 + point scores. They have under achieved this season, but they have the ability to beat anyone, they played Louisville even the first 1/2 last week also. They have no bench helP, but there starting 5 is as talented as anyone. Why even talk about No. 5 foul? Providence was up 20 at the 1/2.

I wasn't actually talking about the game last night but since you brought the subject of bubble teams up, Pro is defenately a bubble team. They are 7th in maybe the strongest confer in the country and will be above 500 even if they lose their next two games. They are 17-11 overall and if they split their final two games they will be 18-12 (10-8) going into the tourn. One win in tourn and they are in. They have now beat two top 25 teams and last night's beating of the #1 team in the country was real big. If they win both of their next two, they might not need a tourn win. I predict that they have help in both of these last two games.

little embarrassed with all of my posts ..as my observations could have been summed up in one...however, I stand by the fact that that game was garbage. Not saying Pitt deserved to win or Providence deserved to lose but the way the game was called was dirty. The big east , like every conference is a profit driven enitity and it pays to have more teams in the tournament and the way pitt got hosed was absurd. I saw Blair trying to go up for a shot and literally lifting a guy in the air because the dude had his arm in grasp and no foul was called. Blair fouling out, though not unheard of, was in this case laughable.

I think you and I are saying the same thing, only different. But it's not just the Big East and it's not anything new. Good luck
