The Mets have lost three in a row to open the year, with the bullpen having a large part in two of the three defeats.

Looper, their closer, blew a two-run lead in the ninth on Monday to give the Reds a 7-6 win, and DeJean gives up a grand slam on Wednesday to put the game out of reach.

The Braves, meanwhile, have won two of of three down in Florida, winning behind Hudson, their new ace in the hole. Danny Kolb looks like the real deal as the closer for this team, and expect them to be right there once again when the season comes to a close.

For now, tonight's game will pit Thomson against Zambrano, who walks the ballpark. Braves win easy.
