I do not play much hoops early in the season, but Florida is going to blow out MD this evening.
Maryland is terrible at defending the 3 and Florida will exploit this. I like the youth and athleticism of this MD team, but I watch them twice last weekend in the BB&T classic and they are going to take their lumps this year. They are proned to long offensive droughts and do not shoot the ball well, especially from 3.
They got handled by an average Gonzaga team and then lost to West Virgnia. Both teams shot about 50% from 3. If Florida can handle the ball, they will win easily.
Florida will be pumped and Donovan is a frontrunner who will want to make a statement.
I love Gary Williams, but MD gets punded by 20+ tonight.
