Big Ten has been not worth a crap in bowls right?
8 out of 11 teams make bowls this year. Two of them are favs (Purdue -9 over Central Mich. and Penn St. -5.5 over Texas A&M rest are dogs, two being dd dogs in Illini +14 and Mich +10. The way I see it go against all Big Ten Teams and come out ahead. Put a honey-bee on each team and my figures you would come out +380.

Ohio St. Loss
Wisky Win
Purdue Loss
Illini Loss
Mich St Loss
Indiana Loss
Penn St Win
Mich Loss

Against the spead overall Big Ten is 60-54-4
However look at some of the non-conf. covers Notre Dame, Fla Int'l, Temple, Wash, Kent St, Syracuse, Wash St, Northern ILL, Toledo, UAB, W. Mich, and Akron.

Look who the Big Ten couldn't cover against: Appalachian St., Buffalo, Akron, W. Mich, UNLV, Norte Dame, Ball St, Duke, Bowling Green, Pitt., Miami OH, Fla Atl., and of course not that U-M should even have a program but lost to North Dakota State who should have also beat them last year.

BIG TEN SUCKS!! WIN SOME BUCKS!!!!:00hour

You forgot the best non-cover of them all. Iowa lost OUTRIGHT to a crappy Western Michigan team on Senior Day needing only a win to go to the Insight Bowl with a 7-5 record. Not only did they lose, they got blown out and were never in the game, trailing 19-0 at one point.
They played with absolutely no heart and no motivation. The play calling was atrocious as usual-- but Michigan still wants Ferentz as their next head coach....:mj07:

Sorry, just noticed you put them in your list. But I couldn't resist pointing it out again...

Ummm. . . no

ATS Records Last 5 years
Michigan 2-3
PSU 1-2
tOSU 4-1
Iowa 3-2
Wisconsin 4-1
Purdue 1-3
Northwestern 1-1
MSU 0-1
Minnesota 3-2

So, if you take out the head to head matchups, I'd assume that there's about 40 non-conference games. So the Big 10, as a whole, is 6 games over .500 or 23-17 or 58%. Doesn't that prove (at least in a small sample size) that the Big 10 is underated?

There's plenty of matchups that the Big 10 appears overmatched (Illinois, Michigan, MSU), but it's like that every year.

i may be wrong & i don't like to tell people how to bet but i think it's unwise to make blanket bets with or against a specific conference. i think you have to take each game & cap it individually.

that said...i initially like cental mich. & penn st.

good luck this bowl season...
