Are you f'n kidding me?

I have seen many blown calls over the years, some worse than the one tonight - but when you go to the replay booth and they uphold a play like the one that cost the Ravens tonight.......

Basically makes me hate sports - nothing is sacred anymore - when will the truth come out? Why was that catch not overturned? I have seen so many blatant missed calls upheld by the replay booth this year - easy for them b/c they can say the call is not "indisputable"....

That call didn't change anything for me tonight, so no bad apples either way, but an NFL team was ABSOLUTELY CHEATED out of a hard fought win in a game that was one of the best in recent memory - and now what, the PATS have a shot at breaking records and going undefeated b/c of that BS? I can't express in words how mad that makes me - and the talking heads have to toe the company line and no one comes out and speaks their mind about how it all went down - makes me lose all respect for the game and makes me apathetic towards anything that happens the rest of the way

At least in bball they know how to make it subtle - **** YOU NFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I'm at it

Funny how the talking heads were all over the end of the ARI/CLE game - they were all SO SURE that the game was blown on the last play - get f'n real

Those same guys won't come out and talk about this game and the call that decided it, and why? b/c the game was on ESPN? basically it is all BS and there is no real reason to play the game - as a true fan of sport who has foillowed all of the action closely since I was 6 years old this shit makes me sad

I totally agree. Suprises me that after the game they didnt talk about the horrible calls more and how the refs obviously want new england to win. Actually the 4th and 6 for defensive holding I thought was etrocious. Took the ref till after the ball was incomplete to somehow notice a hold that took place a full 5 seconds previous. You should never allow a ref to dictate a game, thats why I am a college football fan more. NFL has got way too ridiculous with calls on anything

If that game wasn't fixed, pro football is the most pure game on the planet.
Was there a money line?
Odds on a perfect season?
Colts call time out-defense stuffs run
Penalty on next play?

I know alot of people are upset but the truth is that officiating was bad on both sides of the ball. The N.E. receivers were being held all night and there wasn't a single call until the 4th down play.
Also, it should be noted that even if the referee would of reversed Gaffney's td there still was two penalties that would of given N.E. a first down on the Baltimore 2 yard line.

Are you saying those were made up? The Ravens DID call a timeout, and Hochstein-#71 RG, DID false start on the FB(Evans) play....

You should try watching a Colts game in Indy... They get 1-2 major calls every home game... However, good teams overcome bad calls IMO...

I feel your pain.Just like the Pats were Robbed in the AFC championship game last year by the refs.
Something needs to be done .Make the games less of a farce by letting them play. The Ravens got robbed last nite by the refs IMO!!

What did the refs do last night to rob the Ravens?

Think a lot of guys misunderstood my post - has nothing to do with the Ravens or the Pats really, just sick of refs having an obvious agenda, and IMO they def. had one last night - and no, the play by Gaffney was NOT a catch, and to the people who think it was I have to seriously question your judgement

bottom line is the refs wanted the Pats to win and they did - I have seen this too many times this year in foots - really becomes blatant when the calls go to the replay booth, the replay official takes 2 seconds to review, and the call STILL COMES BACK WRONG - how many times have you guys seen it this year?

In this case the NFL has A LOT to gain by the Pats continuing to win, they have become a HUGE story in the league this year and the more they win the more people tune in to watch them play, etc.

I was never naive enough to think that these sports we all bet on weren't dirty, but it really makes me pissed when calls are wrong and instant replay has a chance to get it right and for obvious reasons they don't - it's not even the holding penalty as I don't think the flag should have been thrown in that particular situation, but at least the right call was made, hard to argue with that - and I understand that the Pats would have most likely scored anyway due to the flags against Balt, BUT GET THE F'N CALL RIGHT ANYWAY and make them score on their own!!!!!!!!! Ravens had already proven they could keep them out of the zone from short range

Please refs, I know that you will continue to cheat, but please don't insult our intelligence and go back to the subtle cheating that we are all used to

That game was obviously influenced by the refs to end in a Ravens cover but patriot win. This undefeated season angle is what the NFL is banking on this season. Ive been crying foul a while now but just use it to your advantage. Play the storyline.

Blitz,

What about the catch? How can you possibly defend that call?

Just watching it again in slo-mo on NFL Network and he didn't even have 1 foot down, much less 2.
Simply can not and will not ever understand why a replay official would call that a catch other than the fact that they are influenced to do so.
