Guys I know I had the ducks huge last week..

They continue to play crazy on offense...

Maybe 3 or 4 defenses in the country can hold them in check..

There weakness in obvious: PASS DEFENSE...
BIG PLAYS KILLED THEM VS UCLA...
UCLA HAD THE SKILL PLAYER + A QB WHO IS GETTING TO BE VERY GOOD IN PAUS..

LAST SAT NIGHT I PLAYED ORE STATE VS ASU..
I WATCHED THE WHOLE GAME..
IT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST PATHETIC DISPLAYS OF FOOTBALL I HAVE EVER SEEN...
ASU LOOKED SO BAD THAT IS WAS REALLY HARD TO WATCH..
THE QB FOR ASU IS TERRIBLE...THERE TEAM SUX..

OREGON WILL 100% DESTROY THIS PATHETIC TEAM....

FINAL SCORE

DUCKS 56
ASU 3

PLAY IT HARD....

SHADED LINE...

10? JOKE...
+ IT OPENED AT 12 AND HAS COME DOWN TO 10.5...

CLASSIC....VEGAS TRYING TO GET THERE 50-50..
PEOPLE WILL BE QUESTIONING THE DROP..

SHOULD READ ORE -28

GOOD LUCK AND BET WITH YOUR HEAD...NOT OVER IT...

You obviously have something against ASU. Possible U of A fan?

Andew Walter was #1 in the nation is passing efficiency 2 weeks ago and currently is #7. He is better than Cory "Jack Daniels" Paus. Walter probably has, and I wouldn't hesitate to say, the strongest arm in the country. Definitlely top 5. I have been to every ASU game, and his arm strength is unreal. He can throw the ball 50 yards on a rope without trying. Your reasons for backing Oregon are rediculous.

"They continue to play crazy on offense." Who are you Mike Belotti?

3 or 4 defenses can hold them in check. Oregon averages 6 MORE YARDS than ASU. Get your facts straight.

I think Walter passed for 414 in that Stanford game and 474 against N.C.. I was at the Oregon St. game, and Andrew was off esp. in the 1st half. But he cought fire in the 2nd half and threw for 140 yards. Koetter's playcalling was crap too, He admitted it. Every play was either a run up the middle or a 40 yard bomb. Nothing in between.
If ASU scores 3 points I will eat this computer. Although I am biased, I think ASU +10 is really good value, since I wouldn't be suprised if we beat the quacks outright. Oregon doesn't impress me at all. UCLA actually outgained them in yardage last week, and should have won that game. U of A sucks, and they almost got beat by Fresno st. at HOME. They are ripe for the upset, and I think ASU definitly keeps it close.

MISTAKE FINDER has to be a U of A fan. His logic sucks.
ASU +10.

Don't take it so personally Marra. Just cuz he's going against your team doesn't mean he's an Oregon fan, or he's crazy, or whatever else. He is just saying he believes the line is soft, and he does have a good knack for spotting those lines. Oregon SHOULD -- this is gambling, so you never know -- but should win easily.

Marra,

I've watched Mistake Finder for a while now and he's definitely not biased for Arizona. . . nor is he against ASU.

Looks like maybe Mistake Finder lost some money playing ASU. . . probably against North Carolina, but who knows and who cares! ASU still hasn't proven much to me just like Oregon hasn't to you. Their win against Stanford was great but too bad its against the worst team in the Pac 10 (as Stanford will show this weekend).

So your reasoning is that since ASU's QB can throw the ball 50 yards on a rope without trying then backing Oregon is ridiculous? Try the fact that this team really doesn't have a good defense! On the road against a team like Oregon, you have to have a good pass defense and ASU simply doesn't have it.

Should be a high scoring game, but I have to agree with Mistake Finder in that taking Oregon looks like the smart play here. The public has driven this line down for the wrong reasons. . . starting with ASU's record. Who have they really beaten? Stanford and Oregon State at home. . . please!

Notice I didn't say anything about Arizona except that I expect them to beat Stanford this week and show they aren't the worst team in the Pac. . . also, if you think the Cats will be cupcake city (Dicky V) when they play ASU (since you think UA is so horrible with all of their injuries), wake up and realize the Cats should have most of their players healthy for that showdown. Arizona sucks right now, but we'll see what you say after their game against the Devils.

Nickelback-

Nice work lately on that new dog system. What are you looking at this weekend? Wake and Air Force looks tasty to me.

I agree w/ Marra here. Props to MistFinder on Oregon last week.

But the Oreg-UCLA gm really revealed the type of team Oregon is. Nice offense, but there are holes on defense, just like many Pac10 teams. The cornerbacks are green, Bragg ran by em.

Walter/McDonald should have success vs the Ducks here. Can't read too much into one gm (ArzSt vs OregSt).

Talk about dominance! The Ducks have been able to avoid the eclipse of the Sun Devils in this series. ASU has fallen short in seven of the last ten meetings SU in this series. Looking back at the register, ASU has dropped five of six SU at Eugene including three in a row. In fact, ASU has lost only one game by less than 10 points excluding their SU victory here back in ?95 by 11 as 13-point pup. That blemish for Oregon occurred in HC Mike Bellotti?s debut and fans should not expect that type of outcome this Saturday. Keep in mind ASU has cashed five of the last seven against the money in this series but they are only 2-4 ATS of late here. The Ducks have cashed two of the last three meetings vs. the number and based on their leaky performance last week look for HC Bellotti to make some adjustments against the potent Sun Devils. The Ducks have allowed four of their last five opponents to reach the 100-yard plateau in rushing. The perseverance of Oregon is still flying high. Oregon has won at least five games in the last five seasons by less than 8 points. This Sun Devil squad can move the football. In their last four games ASU has averaged 335 yards through the air and in five of their last six games they have rushed the ball for more than 100 yards. The Devils have been devilish to the oddsmakers as well in game eight of their campaign the last 14 seasons. They are 12-2 ATS and looking for more this week. ASU enters the game with quadruple revenge and brings enough talent to the field to surprise the Ducks who have Southern Cal on deck. Entering the season the Ducks were 1-4 ATS as DD favorites vs. an opponent off a SU win. ASU played a gutsy game last week holding Oregon State to just 9 rushing yards. There were a lot of mistakes in the game; five interceptions and two fumbles combined which led to a low scoring affair. ASU has the tools to put numbers on the board and Oregon has slipped in the consistent dominant role. The Ducks have flipped their ATS result in every game except one allowing Fresno State and UCLA to give them scares in ?02. If ASU can take care of the football this week, they have enough motivation to bring their A game to the field this week. Oregon has been dominant, but remember they have the tenacity of winning close games along the way

Well theres Miami, Va Tech, Texas A&M. Oklahoma, theres 4 right there.

Also in this day and age defense in college football is a rare
commodity.

I am new to this forum and don't know your background but you certainly have the respect of some of the cappers here.

I have been keeping an eye on you, and you had a solid week last week. GL with the Ducks this week. I have no play on this game.

FINAL SCORE

DUCKS 56
ASU 3

Think you might be getting a little carried away.

What is Oregon your favorite team or something??

GL nonetheless

Hey I'm a UA fan/grad and I'll be the first to admit that:

1) right now the UA is injured and sucks

2) I was all over ASU last week getting 2 at home vs OSU, why?because next to Stanford, OSU is the worst team in the Pac-10.

3) I will be on Oregon this weekend, why? because ASU is a fraud and has beaten NOBODY and faces a large step up in competition. Once Oregon gets a lead, which they usually do quickly at home, it will be downhill from there for ASU. I still think the ASU defense is not that good and has shown itself better than they are because of the lack of offensive firepower they have faced this year.

Raymond-Always respect your opinion...

As for the Oregon State game, my ex-dormmate last year Hakim Hill fumbled the ball on the one yard line and the ball went out of the endzone for a touchback. That's 7 points. Add a miss chip shot FG by Barth thats 10 points. Easy. We came out with the "W" so that doesn't matter, but the score is a little misleading.

The ASU cornerbacks are really not that bad. R.J. Oliver is our shutdown corner and there is a semi-liability on the other side with Hudson. However, we do get Riccaro Stewart back from injury which will really help our secondary. We have a top 20- linebacking unit and probably the BEST DE in the country in Terrell Suggs, who is always around the QB. I am not worried about our defense.

Nickelback, I am not backing ASU b/c Walter can throw the ball far, I am just stating for fact and to back up "The ASU QB sucks, he is terrible." I think Walter can lead the PAC-10 in passing the next 2-3 years.

Everyone was giving me crap last week for posting "Arizona State is GETTING points?" b/c I go to ASU and I might be betting with my heart. I know where to bet with this team. I didnt bet the N.C. game, or the Nebraska game, but I picked my spots with the other teams. I think 10 points is too many for a live dog that can win outright. ;)

ASU is really, really solid on D, enough to compensate for the O in case the O stalls, this defense could win a game single-handedly. They are allowing 2.7 Yds per carry and only 45% completion. They match up more evenly in this game than one would suspect.

ARIZONA STATE

At 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference, Arizona State might be the surprise team in the Pac-10, but the toughest part of the schedule lies ahead. Four of the Sun Devils' final six games are on the road, and three of those games are against ranked teams, including this weekend's opponent, sixth-ranked Oregon. Still, Arizona State was able to slip past Oregon State last weekend 13-9 even though its potent offense was floundering. The Sun Devils had sacks on two of the last three plays to thwart the Beavers' final desperation drive. They also had seven sacks on the evening and forced four turnovers, which gave them 24 takeaways on the year, tops in the conference. The defense may get another boost from the likely return of safety Riccardo Stewart from an ankle injury. The defense will need another strong performance against the Ducks' offense, which is second in the Pac-10 with 37.5 points per game.

To all who I think I might be a little bit wild or unorthodox...

I am....

People who know me here know a couple of things about the way that I cap..

In case you dont know I will tell you..

I dont do research...I dont study trends...
What I do is watch a lot of football and just plain and simple look at the matchups every week and see which ones jump off the page..In my FOOTBALL MIND is where my picks are made..
I try not to read into the line to much...I just know the teams that I play and really think 1 team SHOULD BEAT up on the other.

Plain and Simple :

I am not a great capper..
I do believe I have held my own in the place for a long time..
I like to share what I think is going to happen in some games..
I appreciate everyones responses(positive or negative) as this site is such a release for me...as I am sure it is to many of you..

So yeah Ore 56-3 maybe a stretch but that gives you an indication of how much better I, and I mean I think the ducks are than Asu. I rarely play teams or play against over and over but in this case I think I am right...

Well everyone good luck..
Will post some more games later or in the early morning...
