there are always stories with these draft because the NBA is very sneaky. After looking at this a bit and the way it shook out it looks like Boston and Memphis got a hose job because the bullshit they pulled during the year to keep losing. And Seattle after a little more looking isnt this the team that the fans voted down a tax hike to build a new stadium or something like that. Now they get the Marquee name what a better way to trick fans into now voting on keeping the team. I'll break this down more. I still think something will break for the Sixers. They have a few ones. Will one of the top two or three trade their pick?
I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all but it's hard not to notice these things. First Boston at 5, then Memphis at 4. The first thing I thought was... "wow, those are the two teams that openly tanked games at the end of the year." And they end up in pretty much the worst possible scenario for both teams.
As for Seattle, there has been talk of Durant possibly saving the Sonics here. However, I HIGHLY doubt it. What people don't realize is that taxpayers here simply aren't going to foot the bill for yet another stadium. We've already paid almost $1 billion for Safeco and Qwest Field over the last 6 years or so. The voting has shown that, by a landslide, the taxpayers here are opposed to funding another stadium. And the fact that the owner is a bazillionaire yet still wants the public to pay for the stadium doesn't help matters at all. I've been a Sonics fan my whole life but if them staying here means I have to help pay for a third new stadium in 7 years, then don't let the door hit you in the azz on the way out.
