Having some good players helps,especially at QB.Unless they get a lot more good players including one at QB no amount of good coaching will turn them around.This is the same with all losing NFL teams,firing the coach in mid-season is done to appease the fans.Jauron was once the coach of the year and went 13-3 with the Bears,their best record since doing the superbowl shuffle.That said some of his field coaching decisions in game were hard to fathom.Played against him in college my Soph year at Penn.He was the eventual player of the year as a running back in a wishbone offense that averaged 500 yds a game running.They came into Philly for our homecoming undefeated and ranked 16th in the national AP poll.Penn had had one winning season in 13 years and Yale usually beat them by 40 or 50 without trying too hard.Before our coach Harry Gamble started substituting at the end of the third quarter we were beating #16 41-0 and they had 71 yds rushing.Every sunday when I saw his face I got to fondly remember that day,and I have to wish him luck.
