In an interview this morning, Billy Graham admitted that he was a Democrat but states that politics is not what he wants people to listen to him about.
Basically, this got me thinking about him being a Democrat. Democrats, in the good light, are perceived to be more compassionate, more aware of their surroundings and their fellow man, and I guess in a way more Christian (in the way Christians like to think of their religion).
So my question is why is the Republican party always associated with the Christian faith? I do realize/admit that a good portion of the party is Chrisitan, but I would also think that a majority of the Dem Party is Christian as well. It would be very hard not to be since the vast majority of our country is of Christian faith.
If Billy Graham does not represent the hard-lined Chrisitans, who does?
