Black Monday surely took a back seat today didn't it? Rooney rule is effective? I don't see how it works when there is only two HC now who are black, Mike Tomlin and Chargers HC Anthony Lynn, with the firings today of Joseph, Lewis, Bowles and Wilks.

Tony Dungy has said he didn't want to come back to being a HC but I really feel he'd be a great fit in Green Bay albeit he's a cold weather buy, he might like Arizona job better? Or how about Miami? He definitely needs to reconsider coming back out of the broadcast booth. It's time!

Only other minority who still has a job as of this moment is Ron Rivera and he's loved it out in the Charlotte area for sometime but he could be ready to leave for a better job for sure with the amount of openings out there.

The Rooney rule is to have all minorities interview or the Head Coach openings in the NFL, Mike Caldwell, while he's been a HC before, he's not very good as he's rested on the coat tails of his predecessors, he needs to look elsewhere and be a coordinator of some sort or assistant.

Schwartz w/Philly might get a sniff but he's not a minority. Patriots are going to produce a HC? Maybe McDaniels will get another opportunity, but the grizzly bear in Detroit certainly isn't a household name in his first year at the Lions HC, but that could be he doesn't have much clout in determining his assistants or who the team drafts.

Pagano, Chuck that is, has been linked to some job rumors, but health wise, can he handle it? Oh and Urban Meyer could be sand bagging for a job in the NFL couldn't he? He has enough former players in the NFL and he certainly has lineage of former assistants now as HC in college football. Stanford's HC has been linked to many jobs in the NFL before but not as a Head Coach and maybe it's time for him to leave the Tree, no pun intended, and take a NFL HC job?

Lincoln Riley is being wooed by the NFL? He's not ready for that prime time spot!! He took over a stellar program with tradition at Oklahoma, thanks to Bobby Stoops, and we'll see how good Lincoln Riley's coaching is after Murray moves onto baseball/football elsewhere (Oakland A's). I want to see Lincoln Riley actually land some recruits who make an impact right away at OU before seeing him in an NFL sideline job.

So right now, you have 2 Florida jobs open (Miami & Tampon Bay) one in Arizona, one in Denver, one in Cincy-patti-melt w/chili please, one in Green Bay and one in New York/Jersey? That's 7 jobs!! How many will hire a black Head Coach?

Marvin Lewis is available, Vance Joseph would be better off as a D/C with maybe Carolina or with Oakland & Chuckie, Todd Bowles now being rumored to coach Temple after Manny Diaz takes over for retiring Mark Richt? Maybe Mark is listening to the higher being and will take an NFL job?

Interesting off-season coming for sure!!

Rooney rule is so stupid and complete bullshit.
So they give a token interview, what a slap in the face to whoever gets that. What a joke.

Whatever happened to interviewing and hiring the best that you see fit, that makes sense right?

Who in the hell would run a business that did otherwise.

I guess it would go over well in the NBA if they had to give white guys tryouts, lol.
So dumb.

Would love to see HFC Dino Babers of Syracuse get an opportunity to be a HC in the NFL. He has what it takes! Developer of young men and a great mind to build a team on both sides of the ball! Also still channeling Tony Dungy come back to the NFL as a HC again!
