This just came in over the wire as an Associated Press News Alert:
CHICAGO (AP) - Blagojevich accuses House of impeaching him because of his initiatives to help families.
This is the sort of item that makes the reader beg for more.
News alerts are always cryptic but this takes the cake.
If this distillation of his statement stands up, then a new standard for lame excuses will have been set.
Is he so stupid that he naturally assumes people will agree that Illinois legislators hate anyone who helps families?
Could there possibly be another reason why he was impeached, oh I don't know, perhaps because he was indicted by a prosecutor who has tapes of him making highly suspicious comments in a corruption investigation?
Nah, his tormentors hate helping families.
Blago, tell us it ain't so.
Tell us that the statement on your impeachment is more intelligent than the brief carried by the AP.
Tell us we are not in an episode of a new reality show called "I'm Really Stupid and You Are More Stupid."
