not touching the o's with matusz on the mound and the rangers are comin off an emberassment in tampa. not touching beckett, would probably play it over but leaving it alone. lilly's baffling lately and de la rosa is not legit.

said i was gonna play the bucs at home and i'm gonna. anyone who reads my posts might remember at the end of july i called out Alejandro Sanabia as a huge fraud after his 6 "excellent" outings and 3 starts @ARZ, v WSH, v ATL, giving up only 1 run. but they were as lucky as could be stranding like 95% of runners and having a FIP like a full 1.5runs over his ERA. well i hammered the Giants his next time out--believe it was against Sanchez--and he got destroyed. (incidentally, the giants pen blew it but the giants won it in the end 10-9)

after taht start, his strand rate came down to 78%, 4.63 ERA, 4.23 FIP, and a particularly unlucky .411 BABIP, but he's a 92mph fastball/82mph changeup guy, with 17% sliders which have been particularly deadly. but his splits are kinda strange, .411 BAA vRH.

Nice hit on the 5 inning play. This has got to be one of the 5 worst starts I have seen from a Cubs pitcher all year in terms of control and mechanics, yet the score would indicate otherwise. Baseball is a funny game. Lots of empty seats at the friendly confines today...
