Is it just me or do some of you also find these "games" for paydays to be such a waste. I realize schools get payed well for coaches willing to use their teams as the lamb to slaughter but still. How much influence do these blowouts have later on the ranking of teams? Is there some kind of rating of teams from smaller schools or is it just run up the score and call it a game?

my alma mater, WKU sure had the score run up against them. Kiffin and the Vols were throwing up to the last play. Kinda ridiculous.

I am so sick of these games. I wish college teams would play 1 preseason game and then 11 regular season games.

What I really don't understand is when teams schedule patsies but then play a tough season opener.

NC State should have played Murray State and Gardner Webb BEFORE South Carolina, although I don't know what the scheduling situation is.

My biggest complaint though is playing more than one of the kind of games. If nothing else, just make a rule that you can only play one div 1aa team. Let each div 1 team have it as their first game and play 12 game season. Let div 1aa teams agree but they count that as preseason games and play 11 game season.

Either way, the games don't matter, just inflated stats and inflated wins for the big boys.
