I was very pleased when all of my research confirmed a suspicion that over the years, leadership for the season in the driving accuracy stat was a poor indicator (and in fact a bit of a reverse barometer) of a finish from first to tenth in this event. I was pleased and a bit surprised to find that the four players I was eyeing for this week all had driving accuracy stats in the favorable range I kept detecting, had other favorable stat ratings, and all were also available at attractive odds. The Friday tee times is one area in which I wasn't done any favors, but the odds never changed based on that factor.
