.The Red Sox saw their 12 game winning stopped by
the Marlins on Friday night. But they quickly bounced
back with a victory last night, and are nicely poised to
win the rubber game of their final inter-league series.
Jon Lester has looked sensational in his 4 starts so
far since joining the rotation (2.95 ERA) and he's up
against a Florida team that is only 6-12 (-$420) vs.
lefthanders. And as good as Josh johnson has been
for the home team, he'll have his hands full with a hot
Boston lineup that punishes righthanded opponents
(+$1725 with 6.1 runs per game). This is still a young
team that won't finish anywhere near .500 when all is
said and dome. The sizzling Red Sox are a tremendous
bargain in this one.

Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz will each go deep again and this contest will produce runs galore.

Both bombers went yard twice in Saturday's win, the team's 13th in 14 games as this Boston team is on fire at the plate. The Sox have scored at least eight runs in four of their last six games and that's a big reason why Boston has topped the posted number in seven of its last 10 contests overall.

Boston is batting .321 in interleague games and .301 on the year versus right-handed starters. Florida's Josh Johnson has been steady, but he's allowed at least eight hits in his past two starts against teams that don't possess the kind of potent offense that the Sox have.

Florida hasn't been a slouch at the plate, though. The Marlins have scored at least five runs in six of their last nine games and they're on over runs of 22-13 at home and 16-9 in daytime affairs.

Boston's Jon Lester has seen three of his four starts go over. He wasn't overwhelming in his last start versus the Mets and the Marlins will jump on him early. This total is too low folks and this one's going over!

I don't know, Ray-

Josh Johnson ain't not joke..... as he held opponents to two or fewer runs in eight of his 10 starts and has shut out his opponents on three occasions.

my book is offering 9 as a middle at even money for a reason.

Gotta like this kid. He's 22? yrs. old but he looks like he's about 16 when he's out there and his hat is too big for him.
14 walks in 4 games is a bit much and leads to "overs"
