Right Side,

Did quite well in Bowls last year hit right around 65-70 percent, gave Dogs That Bark some solid bowl plays last year. Didn't put as much time into the regular season this year as I was more focused on the NFL, but feel my prep time has been solid for the bowls coming up.

2-0 in the early ones

Poinsetta Bowl

Going to go with Navy in this tilt -2.5, I liked the over when the lines first came out but I feel asleep at the wheel and didnt play it. The over now IMO is dicey at 62, so passing on that one. I go into this knowing that CSU is going to be able to pass on Navy since Navy was completely bludgeoned by the only two teams on their ledger that could remotely pass (ND-Stan) but then again CSU has not stopped any team with a pulse of a running game. The true option is a tough nut to crack when you don't see it all year and it is next to impossible to duplicate the speed and precision in practice, so I look for Navy to have a field day running the ball on CSU.

Vegas Bowl
Might pass still looking, Cal should just be able to run at will on BYU

Bowl Season 3-0

Damn....I would love to play a dog but up to this point not one single dog has met my criteria for bowls which is: "The only reason to back a dog in a bowl game is if you believe that they will also win the game outright" and to this point I have not felt that way about any of the dogs. Well tonight is no different as I think Kansas at -2.5 (hook) is the play here and my main reason for backing Kansas is that I feel they have one of the strongest and underrated defenses in the country! On the other hand, plain and simple their offense blows, but they did show some life towards end of the season when they allowed Luke to be the only QBinstead of using a rotation. Keep an eye on a defensive linemen for Kansas named Charlton Keith this kid has a huge motor and can disrupt the flow of an offense. I have known his family for many years and he was a star QB in high school and was recruited by many of the bigger programs but the majority of them wanted him to switch from QB to LB and he wanted to play QB so he ended up if I recall correctly at Minnesota as they said they would give him a shot at QB. While he was redshirted and began to bulk up and made the decision to switch to the D side of the ball. He played for the Gophers for a couple of years then had some academic problems and ended up at a CC where he played hoops and then transfered to KU. This kid is more than likely the most athletic defensive lineman in the country and his cousins are Eric Snow of the Cavs and Percy Snow who played LB for the Chiefs. Houston's offense is a hybrid that is hard to stop since you cannot simulate the complexity of it during practice, but the Cougars are one of those teams that just play dumb with tons of turnovers and penalties. I would not be surprised to see KU win by 3 here since there offense is inept and if Houston breaks out early this game could get ugly so this will be a very small play for me.

Guys going to pass posting a side or total on tonights game! Played Reno earlier in the week on a few parlays but off the top of my head I think I got that line at 1.5 or 2, but don't feel comfortable at 4.5 as the line stands right now. There is very little that separates these teams as far as their overall game since they are nearly equal on the defensive side of the ball and Nevada is slightly better on the offensive side of the ball. As far as the kicking game, Nevada has a slim edge but it is not very large. UCF has been a beast this year in forcing turnovers whereas Reno is in the middle of the pack in turnover margin. Although I would classify UCF as a team like NCST that makes dumb penalties that sometimes occur in crucial junctures of them whereas Reno is more disciplined. The coaching matchup is void since AUlt has been a great coach at Reno for decades and O'Leary is a rock solid coach that should be coaching at a bigger institution. As far as strength of schedule, it's pretty comparable UCF has played the 92nd toughest ledger whereas Reno the 112th. Also, the strength of Conf favors UCF as USA is ranked 9th and WAC 11th, but thats really splitting hairs.

Merry Christmas to all Madjack residents and their families!
