So Cal
I have already played a few but I'll post at current lines.
Best of luck and happy holiday's :0074

Lafayette +1 *5
Rushing dog (home)here albeit a small one.
Nevada is a sloppy team. Senior QB in Fajardo but he's a better runner and went like 30%
Vs UNLV in his last game so he's not really all that of a weapon throwing it. He's a running QB. ULL can control the clock and run it all day here. McGuire is a mans man . He goes for 200. + here vs this pathetic Wolfpack front 7. I'm taking ULL .

Utah- 3 *2
My theory here is a letdown spot for the Rams and a big step up in competition.
The Utes have a fantastic Defense.
I feel more comfortable layin the small number here with a quality defense vs a team that
Over achieved vs lesser competition all season.
I failed to mention the head coach took off to take the Florida HC job. I can't see this team get up for the game. Utes in a comfy 2td win

Air Force +1 *5
I really dig this AF team. I've seen a lot AF this season. They aren't flashy but they
Are tough minded and gritty bunch of seniors. This young W.Mich team beating up on a lousy conference schedule doesn't impress me one bit.
The HC edge is huge for the AF here
Very tough to defend the triple option too. Plus the service academies always pack the Bowl Games so it should be considerably more AF Fans in the stadium.

FSU +10 *5
I've tossed around the Oregon blowout theory but a FSU 27 game win streak can't be ignored. I've also realized I'm not really sold on Oregon HC Helfrich . He's winning with C.Kelly's guys and he's had plenty of close calls during his 2year tenure.
I can't put my money on oregon by double digits. Jimbo Fisher Has 1 month Month of prep time for a game. He's gonna coach em up install confidence. They've clearly been disrespected. if they lose. It would be by 3-7. Not 10+.

The ULL vs Nevada game is a 11am eastern kickoff.
That's basically a 8am game for the Nevada. I understand they've been in New Orleans for a few days so they are getting the hang of the time change but I can't really recall a game this season where Nevada played in the afternoon.
Most of Nevada games this season have been the night games at 10:30pm.
I also read that Nevada didn't sell all its share of tickets and ULL should have the home field advantage big time here.

I played Over 56 in the Air Force game .
I really love it at 56. I'm seeing some 58 now.
I like AF to score early and often.

*2 plays
Rice -2.5
Marshall-9
Navy+3
NC/Rutgers over 66
Central Florida-2

*5
Louisiana tech-6
Illinois in a bowl game is a joke. Tech wins this game by 20+
*5
Cincinnati-3
Same theory for the Illini game here used.
Va Tech is a big disappointment this season. They are very lucky to be bowl eligible.
IMO these teams have been on 2 different paths all together to get here this season.
The Bearcats have played well while the Hokies are fortunate to be here.
*5
Boston College-2
better team . Better coach. More exp. laying a very small #. I have BC by 7.

More to come later this weekend.

Best of luck fellas:toast:

I love your assessment on many of these bowl games.

Especially your Air Force pick. I almost always bet against MAC teams in bowl games as their stats are usually inflated from regular season because they play vs other crappy Mac teams!:mj07::mj07:

Air Force is my big play of the day and betting against Mac last year in bowls was very profitable. Hopefully it works out again this year. I may also play against all the crappy big ten teams this year that were lucky to make it to a bowl game. Illinois being on that list!

Thanks and Good Luck Brother!!

BYU +2 -120 *5

Memphis finished its season with a 6 game win streak vs cupcakes. The Tigers defensive numbers are all looking good because they played a bunch of offensive challenged teams to begin with and they feasted on them.
Nov29th. Conn 10-41 W
Nov22nd. Usf 20-31W
Nov15th. @tulane 7-38W
Nov7th. @temple 13-16W
Oct31st. Tulsa 20-40W
Oct25th. @SMU 10-48 W

Not impressed at all.

BYU has Big time coaching edge and strength of schedule edge too.
I'll glady take the PTS.
Bronco Mendenhall should get considered for a big time coaching job. I think he's a great coach.

Even though BYU was a loss I felt like I was on the right side.
BYU had multiple chances to cash at the end.
With under 1 minute to play Memphis gets a 4 and goal TD pass where the QB scrambles around for 10 seconds then Toss' it up in the end zone and the wrong WR catches it for Memphis , TD to tie the game and take it to OT. In OT after a few nice defensive plays the the kicker drills a 56 yard FG to tie the game to take it into
A 2nd OT. Then Memphis takes over and gets the W
Just the worst luck today.
It didn't help that the cougs defense couldn't stop Lynch today either. 7 TD's...geez ..gimme a break.

I'll post a navy and Marshall write up later today

Navy +3 *2
Over 52 *4
Even though this is basicly a home game for the Aztecs , The Naval Academy will be well represented in San Diego tonite. I've been to this bowl game twice. It's a awesome experience. The Navel base is a hop , skip and a jump away. Plenty of local servicemen live in the area so I really do believe this will not really feel like a true road game all that much.

Both teams schedule wasn't great. SD St Defense is young. Although they did defend Air Force well last month. I really think this Navy option is a bit tougher.
On the other hand Navy can't defend the pass so I think the team with the ball last wins.
I'd glady take any PTS in this game. I think we see a very high scoring game here too.

Marshall-9 (now at -8)
I just feel like the way they was blowing teams out can't be overlooked .
vs W.Kentucky game was perhaps one of the best games all year. A close loss.
Cato was playing Lights out all year. I think he can get it going again one more game.
NIU wins vs the MAC don't impress me. Perhaps it should but I wont bet my hard earned $ on the MAC. Plus I don't like public dogs either.

:00hour Navy and Marshall came thru for us.

The over was alive in the 2nd half but too many sloppy turnovers.
That is the one thing that is so difficult to handicap with accurate results.
The 4th qtr was crazy. I wanna say like 6 T.O's. Just freaking nuts.

Great job cappin!!

Any strong opinions on CMU/WKU? WKU's offense is better balanced, and CMU is not a good team if they fall behind. They did beat NIU, but Rawls had insane rushing yards. -3' looks like a slam dunk, but you know how that works...

thanks!!

Bosco,
this game being played in the Bahamas has scared me away.
Christmas Eve paired with Nassau . I find it hard to believe these kids would have there head in the game today.
I had a small lean to under but kept away entirely.
Best of luck and happy holidays.

Arkansas-6 *5
Nasty defense and run game. Arkansas has been a hot team to close the season. I think they stay hot and the defense dominates. I like the hogs to win easily

During the season I play a lot of small conferences.
I find it easier to handicap. As these bowls games play out I'm running out of schools I'm comfy with. If I do well I may just hit a few halftime plays here and there.

I'm thinking about a play on LSU , Georgia , well I kinda think the SEC in General
Can all cover the number ....am I'm nuts?
I'm not really a SEC guy so any input would be nice .

DON'T THINK YOU ARE NUTS AT ALL...IN FACT I THINK MOST PEOPLE THINK SEC ALWAYS HAS CHANCE TO COVER INCLUDING ME. ALTHOUGH IM A HOKIE I PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS CONFERENCE AS AT THE END OF THE DAY IM A FOOTBALL FAN AND FEEL LIKE THEY PROVIDE THE BEST AND MOST ENTERTAINING PRODUCT. HERE IS MY 2 CENTS ON THE LSU AND GEORGIA GAMES.

FIRST, I THINK LSU IS YOUNG AND STILL HUNGRY AND I DONT THINK MANY TEAMS HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING MOTIVATED TO PLAY NOTRE DAME(WHICH WAS A TRAIN WRECK LAST HALF OF SEASON). REALISTICALLY I DONT THINK LSU THOUGHT THEY WOULD WIN SEC OR PLAY FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SO PLAYING IN THIS BOWL GAME IS NOT SUCH A LET DOWN WHICH LEADS ME TO THE GEORGIA BULLDOGS WHOM I FEEL HAD REALISTIC CHANCE TO WIN THEIR SIDE OF SEC AND POSSIBLY MAKE THEIR WAY INTO A FINAL FOUR CONVERSATION. NOW WE ALL KNOW NEITHER HAPPENED AND THEIR SEASON WAS A ROLLER COASTER RIDE WITH THE OFF THE FIELD DISTRACTION/SUSPENSION WITH GURLEY TO HAVE HIM COME BACK AND LOST FOR THE SEASON WITH NASTY INJURY. IM GOING TO SAY THAT BEING IN CHARLOTTE NC IN THE BELK BOWL IS NOT WHERE THEY WANT TO BE AND I HAVE TO QUESTION HOW MOTIVATED THESE 20 YR OLDS WILL BE TO PLAY...NO DOUBT THEY ARE THE BETTER TEAM.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK...I AM ON A ROLL ON NON POSTED PLAYS SINCE BYU BUT IM SUPERSTITIOUS LIKE THAT...I ENJOY YOUR INSIGHT ON GAMES SO WILL BE CHECKING YOUR PLAYS...SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE

Adding a unit to my UCF play making it a *3 play.

LT made me sweat it out a bit in the 4 th qtr but did finish it out strong for the cover:toast:

I've only got Cincinnati pending for tomorrow.
If it hits I'll likely keep away.

I gotta feeling USC loses to the Cornhuskers. I can't find a soul who thinks they've got a chance to cover. I think it's the perfect storm for USC. Nebraska can play Defense and run the ball. I love that when playing a side in a bowl game. If Nebraska can keep it close early
They can easily win this game. IMO The Cornhusker style of ball is the perfect formula to beat the Trojans. due to sanctions depth is an issue.. If the Huskers are hanging around they can win. I'm gonna be watching closely and make a 2nd half bet.
