NEW ORLEANS BOWL
North Texas +8
North Texas/Cincinnati Under 44.5

One game that stood out to me was the UAB/Cincy game. UAB's offense somewhat similiar to North Texas in that they are one dimensional..all run, no pass. UAB took them to the wire at Cincy. I'm not a big Guidugli fan. Makes too many mistakes IMO and tends to force passes into coverage when things aren't going his way. If the total goes over, minimal chance of the Mean Green covering. I think they keep this close with ball control, field position, and a + turnover margin. If Cincy doesn't get ahead early by a couple of scores, I think they'll be frustrated. Not sure how much respect they have for North Texas coming into this game. Haven't had much time to prepare, which Coach Minter was concerned with,...they see North Texas as their opponent and I'm sure they think this game might be a bit of a walkover. Chance at redemption for N. Texas after getting waxed last year by Colorado State. Plenty of players leftover from last year's team...I think they want and are looking forward to this game much, much more than Cincy. You know Lubbick always has his team ready to play, that was reflected last year as Col St came to play, not sure they same can be said by Minter and from what I've seen, isn't the most disciplined team around.

Good luck!

had `em also....i thought your remarks were so consistent with my opinion on minter and cincy`s lack of discipline....minter is a terrible coach....a real rube from podunk-ville......his teams are always extremely inconsistent....nice calls...let`s keep it going....g.l.

Thanks, guys. Was fortunate with the missed 2pt conversion, but I'll take it...that's two more wins than I had all of the college regular season.

Bowl Record: 2-0

GMAC BOWL
Marshall -2.5

I'm not a fan of Ragone at all..think he is terribly overrated. No Dorsey for him at WR, Ghent has been out and is out tonight..that's the two main weapons he had to begin the season. Running game is suspect at best for them (as is Marshall's). O-line is horrendous. The one thing that scares me is Ragone's scrambling...on key 3rd down's his line is so bad, Ragone is often forced into taking off and getting conversions with his feet. Hopefully Marshall will have a defender keying on him in those situations. Highly touted safety duo for Louisville has dissapointed this season. I don't think their secondary can handle Marshall's passing attack. Leftwich we all know about, and he has a couple of NFL quality receivers to throw to. Louisville and their fans were talking possible BCS before the season started, now they are 7-5, just got trounced by a bad Houston team, and playing in the GMAC Bowl. I don't think they'll be 'up' for this game. O-line problems, no Dorsey...I think even Marshall's defense can do some things tonight against the Cards offense.

Hoops,
I agree with you that Marshall is the play tonight, but have to respectfully disagree that Ragone is overrated. The reasons are the exact same ones you mention: Louisville's O-line is terrible, they don't have a very good running game, and he's lost 2 of his main receiving weapons at different points throughout this year; yet he still has managed to lead a Cardinal offense to an average of almost 30 PPG (29.6). When he scrambles, he's doing it because no one is open and he'd rather take it himself then try and force it. Although he runs a lot, every time I see him he's looking to pass first. To me, the guy shows a lot of poise and a lot of heart, and I think he's got a terriffic arm. I fully expect him to be a perrenial starter for someone in the NFL within 2 years. That being said, he's still going to be the 2nd best QB on the field tonight.

GL to you and let's keep the Bowl roll rolling!;)

Kenman- No thought on the total...looks about right to me. Just going to go with Marshall for the game, usually don't like to play first half and game wager on one game. Good luck.

Johnny- Even before this season I felt Ragone is overrated. Obviously his O-line problems haven't helped things, but regardless, I don't see him as a very good QB. I know that differs from popular opinion, hopefully he will be a bust in the NFL to make me look good..lol. Good luck tonight as well.

Low line?

Low line?

I'm trying to figure out why this line is so low. I would think Texas Tech would put a lot of points against clemson and clemson would not be able to keep up with them. Maybe I'm forgeting about something. If anyone has some insight or information about this game, please share.
I was going with Texas Tech big.

Hey, greggyv -- coincidentally, I'll be in West Chester for Christmas day.

Tonight's game -- Clemson's strength is its pass D, which is obviously important against Texas Tech. I'll be playing the dog.
