are you still coming up to glens falls this weekend? i don't think i'll be able to make the games (i just can't miss the tourney), but maybe we can still get together. i am literally one minute off the northway, so i'll be right on your way. it'd be nice to meet the legend. :)

Smitty,I'm leaving on Thur afternoon for Glen Falls.Staying in Lake George.I'll be at all the games on friday and most on Saturday.Coming back sat nite. Not staying for sundays games.
We always sit right on the floor right behind one of the teams benches. We like to sit on the left side bench as you come into the Civic center. You can see about 8 or 9 coaches sitting with our backs on the hockey bds.We are easy to spot. One coach is 6'8 and he has to strecth every timeout. If you come to the games you will see us.I'll wear a red baseball hat..Don't know what teams made it.Been so busy.Any Albany area teams make the final four.
It would be good if you came.I'll get you on the floor if you come.Listening to all my buddies is worth the cost of admissions.Hope you can come for a game or two..

why do they schedule this for the first weekend of the ncaa tourney? somehow, that just seems wrong.

we do have some local teams still playing... stillwater in class c, averill park in class a, and cba in class aa. in fact, averill park is playing peekskill. that's your neck of the woods, isn't it?

i have no doubt it would be worth the price of a ticket to hang out with you and your buddies. maybe i can make the averill park game at 9:00 saturday morning. if not, maybe i can twist your arm into stopping at clifton park on your way home saturday night, and i'll buy you a beer while we watch the tourney somewhere.

can you get my e-mail from jack and drop me a note? for one thing, i think i should know your name, so i won't be wandering around the civic center asking "are you box and one?". i won't be wearing a hat, but i'll be the good looking guy with a goatee and a buzzcut.

shamrock, shame on you. you gotta at least make an annual pilgrimmage to saratoga in the summer. :)

by the way... you would not recognize clifton park now.

your correct, I imagine few places are as beautiful as Saratoga Springs. I suppose that's why all the rich folks (turn of the century) spent so much time there in the summer). As a college guy I certainly enjoyed the skidmore women and the bars:) is that place Barclay' s still there in Saratoga Springs? $1 long island ice tea s on Thursday nights once upon time.

smitty..I'll get your e-mail from MJ.
Can't on the way home.At the civic center everyone goes upstairs in a food room. They have 3 big screen TV's and about 200 people watch the games there.
Stillwater is always there.
Sham..Union College is really nice. That area Saratoga is so beautiful.Love going there.

Smitty..I'm driving up with other coaches so I have no car.Tomr nite we go to the "log Jam" for a big dinner. Then all day friday and sat..games,games.
The NCAA's are always playing the same week. When the announcer at the Civic center gives scores out..everyone takes out there ncaa braket sheets...and cries or cheers. The problem is my buddies are playing for $5.00 sheets and the Box has a few *** 's on this games. lol

ah, the log jam. i'm salivating. i usually meet my mom and stepdad up there once or twice a year. i don't often say this about a restaurant, but they have a heck of a salad bar. :) and, in case you haven't, make sure you have some of the bread at the salad bar. the log jam is owned by the same people who own bountiful bread. good stuff.

shamrock, barclays sounds familiar, but i may be thinking of the popular handicapper who sometimes graces us with his inside info. :) if it's still there, i am not aware of it.
