Any thoughts on this one?

I admit I don't follow super bantamweights that much (besides vazquez/marquez of course)...so someone in the know tell me if they think Lopez is a live underdog worth taking at +600.

What about the under too...doesn't seem at all likely, but I have a superstition about Espn2 match-ups and their tendency to produce K.Os. Is there a disparity in skill here great enough to produce a T.K.O?

Thoughts?

If you look at Lopez, he fought competitively at 115 pounds- did okay against very talented Mijares and did very well in a scrap in Russia against Kirilov who's no slouch. But now he's up at 122. I saw his scrap with Ponce De Leon. To me he showed a chin because Ponce cracked him a number of times and Ponce can punch , before he finally checked out and I thought his skill was decent and he landed some bombs on iron chinned Ponce. I feel what your saying , will Oliver let his hands fly and maybe overwhelm, etc. I think it's worth a small play. Personally I'd be nervous laying that kind of chalk on over. Good luck

I was surprised at the line for the over 9.5 (-460) and the Oliver Decision Prop (-421)

I'd definately take the over in this situation if I was gonna take action (I'm not tonight). If Oliver was -275 or better I'd jump on the prop but why not be on the safe side and just take the over if the "opponent" has the night of his life?

The fight that caught my eye was Smith-Torres on the undercard. Torres to me looks like a 140 pounder for whatever reason took almost 2 years off and got some Contender action at 147, didn't fare so well, quit in the 3rd round of his first fight back from contender against a marginal oppoment and won a couple fights agains terrrible comp.

I'll take the natural welterweight 21 year old Smith at -230 and a small play on the under. Only concern is Torres is linked to promoter Cappiello.

I'm on the Oliver over @-410. Might consider a hedge on Oliver inside. Unless the guy is looking for a paycheck I see Oliver by dec. I agree it's a bit too high for an over but I took it anyway.

Very nice on that mismatch. .. Wednesdays have been good, luv 5 dimes! Like to see Lopez somehow pull a decision so my wingmen's overs can cash. I did Lopez by decision at +3500 or so for sh--s and giggles.

I hope you followed your ESPN superstition, dead on ... just seemed to be brewing.
