Boxing and betting, question.

I played on Casamayor at both Pinnaclesport and at Expekt. Expekt cancelled my bet on Casamayor because Corrales did not make weight, and they cancelled it like several hours after the fight. Pinnacle did not cancelled my lines on Casamayor.
To me it's kind of unfair to cancel a bet after the fight, I mean, Corrales failed to make weight like 24 hours before fight.
I don't have much experience with gambling, and I am surprised that different bookies has different rules. What is there to understand for me?
Any knowledge, wisdom or advice is much appreciated. Thanks

I have been involved in sports betting and boxing for a little while, and you are getting screwed...Unless the line was completely of whack that you bet into then you have a legitimate beef...Time for you to start making inquiries.

Casamayor over Corrales +210, "completely of whack"?
Expekt now gave me the explanation that they cancelled all plays on Corrales vs Casamayor because the fight lost it's status as a title fight.
And they apologize for doing this after the fight!!!
Did any other bookie cancel their plays on Casa/Chico?

i 2nd that. You think if you would have lost they would have still cancelled it. Total bullshit to pull something like this after the fight. Even tho im not a fan of pinnacles lines they are such a solid book you most likely would never have to worry about something like this happening.

OK frank s. I won't.
I have a friend who is a big better on horses. He says that Expekt is well know for this kind of behaviour, only fools uses Expekt. Well, I don't want to be a fool, so I will terminate my account there, and for the rest of my life I will warn people about Expekt. "Expekt will **** you in the ass until you like it".
The thing is, I started the account because I wanted to play on the Eurovision song contest, you know, the monsters from Finland with Hard Rock Hallelujah? That gave like good money and I wasted most of it on the World Cup. That was like no problem, I just wanted to spice the TV-experience. But apparently I did play Casamayor over Corrales at one time, and I had forgot about it. But today this e-mail arrived from Expekt with this bullshit, I was like, give me my money.
Well I just have to forget about it and move on. Even without Valuev winning by decision I had a good week. I think boxing and betting is my thing. I must get in shape, no more bullshit, no more smoking, no more betting on soccer, Eurovision song contest, no more Expekt. Every muscle must be tight. Twenty-five push-ups each morning, one hundred sit-ups, one hundred knee-bends. I must get in shape. Total organization is necessary.

Complete and utter bullshit. Technically they are wrong anyways. The fight was still 12 rounds and Casamayor was still eligible to win the title. You got screwed.

I thank you for your support, but, I did not get my money. I wrote eight times to Expekt. First I had a discussion with their Swedish support, which ended in them asking me to start a new discussion with their "Trading Director" in Malta. The trading director was more concern over my "rather slanderous, and negative, email" than my errand. I felt like being in an Franz Kafka book, never receiving a definite answer. A yes, or a no. Every evening was ruined with an humiliating email from Expekt. I did not have the force to continue, I gave up. I got screwed.
Where's the weekly lines? I'm ready to go. Will Kessler KO Beyer? :em71:

I know someone in Expekt's trading department. He knows nothing about your case but I'm sending him this link because I think you got the shaft.

Do you know if they belong to IBAS. They handle arbitrations. Unfortunately they are incompetent puppets more than knowledgeable sports bettors but this sounds straight forward.

Thank you alb!
I never heard about IBAS before. But no, after searching for registered bookmakers at http://www.ibas-uk.com/, Expekt do not belong to IBAS.

The last email I received from Expekt's "Trading Director" he wanted me to call him. Why the hell should I call him, in Malta, 5 days after the fight? What is there talk about? All the facts are on the table! Exepkt should have resolved this errand without me sending them numerous emails. By now Expekt should have made up their mind, given every customer involved in this fight the same, fair, treatment.

The facts are. Expekt cancelled their bets on Corrales - Casamayor. They did this on fishy basis ("We were initially contacted by a client that had made a bet on Corrales for this fight to inform us that he had failed to make the weight so therefore the fight would not go ahead as listed on our site ? as a title event"), that's there reason, right there. As far as I know, no other bookmaker cancelled their bets on this fight. And not only did they cancelled it on fishy basis, they did it several hours after the fight!!!

After seven emails in five days, I asked them to go to hell and terminated my account.
I did not "loose" big money, but I got a big lesson, I will not be so naive in the future.

I talked to my friend at Expekt. Without quoting anyone, I got the impression that the trading dept was forced to defend a customer service decision. They did void all bets (not just winners) and that actually cost them $$$. Of course, none of this does you any bloody good....but hopefully at least someone in there is aware of the public perception.

Thanks alb, I appreciate your effort!
How did it cost them $$$ when they void all bets?
Again, thanks!
