Just some random thoughts on a couple of fights. Price/Sexton may offer some value. Sexton can be a handful but I like the height/reach advantage enjoyed by Price. And Price's right cross is a thing of beauty. Reminds me of Teofilo Stevenson of years ago, the Cuban Olympian; one punch KO power. More on this later. Also Broner will most likely dismantle Sykes and the price reflects as much. Still see value in Ajisafe over Dickinson. No props yet.

Frank, Broner/Sykes is cancelled due to the main event(Peterson/Khan) falling apart, thanks to Peterson.

Thanks. Line is still up at 5Dimes even though they took testosterone line down. Not the best fight to bet anyway; I do like Broner at any rate. Lots of natural talent. Hope you recovered from your flu symptoms.

kessler vs green :popcorn2

Kessler has been at super middle(168) for the past 12 years. Moving up to 175 apparently. Green has been in with some decent opposition, but Kessler seems to be the class in this race. Green did get KTFO by Johnson last June, then fought a tomato can, then Demers, for WIW. Have to wait for props.

Price/Sexton

Price/Sexton

Thanks Frank. Ready to get back into the action. Sexton has a very short reach at 71", and I think his listed height of 6'2" might be more like 6'3" or 6'4" as he looked clearly taller than the 6'1 1/2" Chisora and almost level w/ the 6'4" Larry Olubamiwo.

Keen observation. I've been watching video of their promotion/past fights, etc. Now, Price, I have seen on more than one occasion. Sexton, only video of prior fights. One thing; I am of a mind that he is susceptible to a straight right hand. And Price has a doozie.

price is a little green in the tooth

but should handle sexton

Agree. He is a work in progress, but he has decent fundamentals. Sexton will no doubt be his toughest challenge. Sexton has a high work rate and a little pop. Heck, he may even drop Price if he chooses to close the distance. First few rounds should be uneventful, but it could get "tasty", as the Brits like to say.

Some trends...

Some trends...

Seems the prevailing "wisdom" is that Price will put Sexton to sleep before the 9th rounds ends. The under has jumped a bit in price. Also Ajisafe, is now +160. I see value there. If I can parlay Adil Anwar-350 with something I will. I like him also. Like Kessler, but -800 is not going to happen. Have to wait for props.

McCall/Pianeta today

McCall/Pianeta today

Taking a shot with the "Atomic Bull" McCall. Pianeta seems to be getting worse, not better, as his last 2 fights were versus guys that both lost 6 in a row, 8 rounders each. Its in Germany, so I realize the scoring there is criminal, but at +260, I'll bite for a little coin.

Not sure if you heard or not but I remember you posting about Bob Ajisafe. It seems Travis Dickinson's got a new opponent, a Latvian by the name of Jevgenijs Andrejevs, whose nickname is, go figure, "Lucky". With 44 losses and 3 by way of KO, I don't think he's getting lucky Saturday lol.

Thanks again. No, because the thing is guys are still betting into the line, as Ajisafe has been bet up to +175. Seems 5Dimes is asleep at the wheel. I do peruse the boxing sites, but apparently some of this esoteric information is not front and center. I am slowly but surely running out of options!
