After having favorites go like 26-4 over two and half days, with all four winning early yesterday, someone let the DOGS out in the afternoon and boy were they hungry!!
7 DOGS in a row won (not counting DODGERS, Pads, or TWINS which were basically a pickem, BUT the home team won each, which meant the ROAD team was slightly favored to win) and almost SWEPT, if not for the comeback by the GIANTS! I can't remember who said it yesterday, but it was mentioned about the FAV'S record and look for something weird to happen... well it did. After winning early, I didn't see it stopping last nite, but it did in a big way. Road favs started 3-0, then home teams went 9-2!! AND, SEVEN WERE HOME DOGS or pickem! What will FRIDAY bring... hmmmm
Just for kicks... IF someone had done this, tossed a measly $7 on 7 dogs to win, it would have returned $2807.61!!!!
Or better yet, played a ten teamer with ALL DOGS and tossing in MINN, LA as home pickems, and ONLY NEEDED COLORADO to win! You couldn't have hedged, because TORONTO had not come back to beat BOSTON yet... that little comeback by the GIANTS would have only cost you $34,460!!
Ok... so maybe then I'd shoot my TV too!
