With Frank Wren being let go today by the Braves, look for two names to surface, no not John Hart and no, John Schuerholz will not return to run operations, but look for Dayton Moore to possibly return to the Braves or his side-kick, Mike Arbuckle. If Dayton goes back to Atlanta, Mike Arbuckle, who deserves an opportunity to be a GM, could take over as GM for the KC Royals. Arbuckle built the Phillies farm system before leaving to go to KC when Ruben Amaro got the GM position.
Look for Ruben to get the boot in Philly and something will change in Minnesota, they just can't keep sitting near the bottom of the ALC and it's not about the money they can spend, etc., they have a new ball park and yet throw out the same talent year in and year out and there is no improvement and Ron Gardenhire isn't getting any smarter nor is Mauer crushing it like he did before the big FAT, homer, contract he was given to keep him w/the Twins for the length of his MLB career.
Another team that could make changes are the Jays, who've signed free-agent after free-agent and what young talent have they brought up to replenish the system? Sanchez? That's one! Who else? This team under-achieves each year and teams have figured out how to pitch Encarnacion and Joey Bats, and the pitching has just been, eh!! This team needs more than just signing free-agents.
Yankees? Steinbrenners don't give a flip. They have an overpriced payroll, overpriced stadium, no one really is showing up and they lose their face of the team after the season is over with in Derek Jeter. Then after this season is over with, they have the A-ROD mess to talk about again and if I were the Yankees, I'd eat that fat contract and get him the hell out of the BRONX!! He's bad news!
Mets? Alderson is showing just how smart he is, isn't he? When he left the A's, the A's kept winning with Billy Beane running the ship after Sandy left, now Sandy doesn't have Billy to rely on anymore and their Ivy League MLB exec wannabes are really producing what? They demoted their scouting director, Terrassas, who has more talent on the NY Mets roster, deGrom, Duda, Recker, all from his drafts, so who are the next Mets prospects after the new scouting regime came in? McDonald was there for a year and then left!! That organization is a mess too!! Wrong folks calling the shots! Sandy needs to go back to MLB office and help that mess there with Joe Torre!! :mj07:
Later!!
This off-season, the "HOT STOVE" is going to be pretty fokken HOT!!
