BRAVES/EXPOS Under 8.5 ?105 - Livan Hernandez is quietly having an excellent season pitching in the obscurity of Montreal. He is 13-8 on the year, and he is among the NL leaders in ERA at 2.94. He also enjoys pitching at home, where he is 9-4 with an excellent ratio of 1.09. When Hernandez allowed 4 runs in 6 innings to the Cubs last time out, it snapped an impressive string of 9 consecutive Quality Starts. Horacio Ramirez may be the lowest paid starter on the Atlanta staff, but he is a fine 10-4 with an adequate 4.10 ERA and 1.38 ratio. Although he is 1-2 vs. Montreal this season, all 3 of his starts against the Expos have been Quality Starts. Ramirez is also in fine current form, allowing a total of 3 earned runs in 16 innings over his last 2 starts. Finally, the Under is 5-2 in Ramirez?s last 7 starts, as well a fantastic 19-10 in all of Hernandez?s starts.
