Detroit Pistons -3

I read a quote from Ben Wallace following last night's win against Atlanta, he said, "We've been focusing on defense all week in practice. It feels really good to get this win!"

The Pistons are looking to improve by tightening up their defense, and it looks like the players got Carlisle's message. Detroit went out and held the Hawks to 80 points last night in a 91-80 home victory. I fully expect Detroit to carry that momentum into tonight's nationally televised contest at Chicago. The Pistons own the Bulls! Here are some notes:

Pistons are 7-1 ATS in last 8 meetings with Chicago
Pistons are 4-1 ATS with no days rest (don't worry about fatigue factor)
Bulls are 1-6 ATS with one days rest
Eddie Robinson (Bulls) is listed as questionable

Scores from last 4 games when Detroit has visited Chicago:

Detroit 124
Chicago 106

Detroit 97
Chicago 73

Detroit 110
Chicago 83

Detroit 116
Chicago 110

The opening line indicates that it should be a close game. I'm not buying it. Detroit is focused on playing defense, and Chicago allows an average of 100 PPG. Pistons win this game by double digits.

Good luck with your plays tonight!
