An ambulance rushes a wounded Dallas police officer to the hospital.
Three police officers were shot early Wednesday after confronting an armed man in a southwest Dallas apartment complex. The gunman was reported to be holding three children hostage. A woman was seen fleeing from the apartment shortly after 7 a.m. Police feared there could be as many as two dead or wounded people inside. The wounded officers were reported in stable condition. "Right now, the tactical unit is still trying to negotiate with this gentleman," Dallas Police Sgt. Gil Cerda said.
