I give a slight edge to Exogeneous here. She along with Flute and Spain all finished w/in a length and a half of each other in the Beldame. Spain won last year and as a 4YO is likely done developing. I like the sharp improvement Exogeneous has shown in her last 2 races. Her breakthrough race was in the Gazelle, where she earned a 110 Beyer. She was a bounce candidate last time but did not, earning a 109 winning the Beldame. My sleeper is Unbridled Elaine, who was caught wide over Keeneland's rail biased track in the Spinster. Miss Linda was able to make the lead and speed is deadly at Kee. Pompeii could hit the board at a big price since she was also wide in the Spinster and in 5 Belmont races, she has 3 wins and 2 seconds. Fleet Renee is capable but I don't care for the repeated layoffs.

Interesting I agree with you and disagree. Exogenous has shown steady improvement this whole year and with her last race being her best move forward most likely this time she might bounce. Nevertheless at 3-1 I would have to look elsewhere. Flute at 5-2 in my opinion and according to Thorgraph numbers is a bit slower than several others. Unbridled Elaine is faster, better odds, with a trainer change being the only negative. Pompeii at 15-1 and Stevens up is a solid contender with her xoxo pattern. Starrer at 15-1 is interesting as is Atelier 30-1 whom the Thorograph really likes and "very underrated and set to fire".

I wish Exogeneous had a chance to run. While Unbridled Elaine did her part, I believe Exogeneous would've beaten her and Spain had she not have to scratch.
