The Europeans may have an edge here especially if its soft turf but if I have to pick out one horse I like, its Hap. He handles firm or soft, is well trained, is good enough (2nd in Arl Million) and has run the best Thorograph numbers of any of the North American horses. Noverre and No Excuse Needed may be the top Europeans. Noverre beat No Excuse Needed by 2 lengths on August 1. According to Thorograph, unbeaten Numerous Times is a fraud. He doesn't appear fast enough. Brahms, Irish Prize, Val Royal and Sarafan are all capable of winning IF they run their best race.

I agree with you Hap looks very good. With Anticipation draws a nice post and will save ground which is worth a number or 2 and puts him right there. Fantastic Light is also extremely cosistent and very strong. The rest except for Quiet Resolve I dont think have a chance.
