it's too damn quiet in here. figured i'd jot down some thoughts.
6th - WIDE open. i've got 6 horses within a length of each other, and a few more just behind them. going with the 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9. i have the 9 slightly fastest, and she gets 3 lbs from the boys, but she'll have her work cut out for her from that post. if i was more disciplined, i might not even bet this one. but it's the first BC race. and i'm not disciplined. maybe i'll just use those 6 to start some multi-race bets.
7th - baffert and pletcher, who have the top 3 ML horses here, have historically been TERRIBLE in the juvenile fillies. i think i saw a combined 2-for-75. while i have confirmed the "2", i can't find where i saw that. the 75 must be wrong. but they've had a lot of horses in this race with only 2 wins. so while i have the 2 as the fastest horse in the race, i'm going to try to beat her and the other two. i'm using the 1, 3, and 8. when we get to post time, if i'm not too busy handing out candy, i'll probably break down and use the 2 a little.
8th - going with the 3 (10-1) and 5 (15-1) over the 1 (8-1), 4 (20-1), and 12 (15-1). those prices won't hold with Precise scratching out, but still could be a nice payout.
9th - i hate baffert, but it's hard to see the 7 losing. pletcher (the 8 horse, who is favored) has a terrible record at del mar on the dirt in the BC. i'm going to use the 1 & 6 underneath.
10th - 3 & 14 over 2, 10, 13.
