I am taking them on the RL today. Nobody has the Pirates number quite like the Brewers (or so it seems) and it isn't like the Brewers aren't hitting. Their OPS over the last 7 days is .800. They need to keep Hoffman and their pen on the bench and they'll win. OPS against the relievers for MIL was over .800, so that is where the real trouble lies.

Need to get 7 innings out of Randy Wolf tonight. Last time out vs the Pirates this year, he threw 6.0 scoreless. Like to see that again.

Its worth a shot. The Pirates are pretty horrible and they beat Roy Haladay last night so it looks like a good spot as any for the Brewers to get outa the funk. Good Luck

Their pitching staff is horrible. Gallardo is good. Wolf is solid but lets say his ERA was ood last year because he pitched at Chavez Ravine. Bush, Davis, and Narveson with a shit dick bullpen. Never going to win with that... Release Hoffman, they got a kid in the minors throwing in the mid to high 90s with a good K to IP ratio.. Also time to fire Macha,, He is a dry old turd.

their hitting has been hit and miss but your right on..their pitching has been bad. macha needs to bench Hoffman or he needs to grow some balls and tell Macha to take him out as the team's closer until he can contact Dr. Galeo and juice up to get his fast ball past someone!
