Got these on Tuesday...was reading about how the #88 was a part of the tire test here recently along with Vickers and Kurt Busch. Eury Jr. was saying the Jr. was real happy with the car and said that he felt that the practice was really beneficial because this is the first time that these cars have been run at this track. The article went on to say that the #88 team was going to share all of their info with the rest of their Hendrick team. Therefore I was surprised to see these odds on these 2 guys. Really regret not taking the #48 also at +850 but I got these two...

To Win:

#88 (+1200)
#24 (+1600)

These competition yellows have to STOP. At some point the teams have to make decisions. It is part of the sport as every team should know what they can now get out their tires...

Tatally agree. The crew chiefs may have well stayed home today. Nascar officials are calling the race. Besides that they are making it boring for the viewer.

This might be the worst NASCAR RACE of all-time.
Turn the teams loose. GREEN FLAG STOPS.
Are they really gonna keep competition cautions until final laps??

They have been closing the pits before the yellow so they can't pit early! WTF just make it a 10 lap sprint and go home. This isn't racing!

Well what pisses me off is competition yellow is supposed to be to allow teams to know their cars when track conditions have changed.
They never let the teams be the ones to make a call on when to pit. Are they gonna pay crew chiefs for this race??? They only have 1 decision to make two or 4 on final stop and I think they ALL take 2.

it'll be interesting to see what William13's take on the race was.

the final result i like +800 :00hour
but , nascar did the right thing, the tires were junk !
people that sat first 10 rows from the track had rubber dust on them . it look like they were at a dirt track ..
they couldnt get the track to rubber up . the tires would just throw up some dust and not stick to the track so the track ate them tires up fast !
if nascar would let them race it would have been a wreck feast ... if you notice the track after the race it was still green as hell ....
goodyear drop the ball in my opinion not nascar , nascar was stuck between a rock and a hard place .

I agree with Nascar decision until the end.
Let them make own decisions last 20-30 laps.
They just handed this race to the 48 car.
1st pit + fastest car + 10 lap races= Easy winner for him.

tires wasnt lasting 30 laps .. they were wore to the core in 10 to 12 laps ... nasacar didnt want to run the race like that ... they had no choice.

I know they couldn't last much more than 12 laps but once it got to the end it should have been on the teams to decide when to bring them in.
I would none of them would have pushed it much more than that anyway, but I guess Nascar didn't have the same trust that I did.

If they had let the teams call the last 30 laps, they would have treated it like a road course, but instead of fuel mileage run they would have used an estimated tire mileage run and added in for caution laps when someone inevitably blew a tire. There is no question there would be a green white checkers, the only question is how many cars would be in the wall before even making it to the checkers. Of course someone else would lose another tire before they even got to the white flag and the race would end.

As it was the fans were "treated" to 7 laps of somewhat "real" racing there at the end.

I agree with how they handled it on race day. However, it should have never happened to begin with. The ball was dropped and there is a lot of blame to go around. As such, IMS, Nascar and Goodyear should work together to offer HUGE discounts; 50% or more for next years race to anyone that had tickets to that debacle.

I agree that Nascar had to do what it had to do but isn't it the crewchiefs job to decide when to pit and not Nascar. Nascar controlled thre entire race and made it a 10 lap sprint.

I realize it was a safety issue but the crew chiefs could have stayed home. They even closed pit road after 7 laps to take away that strategy.
