You did great again, buddy. I think your record may be a little understated. Quite a few of those plays have been dogs. Thx, man.

1837 just got home had chance to look at the qlfing results. Thks pal nice job. I do like makeing money the easy way for me. Your smarts on the F1 stuff is on real. I did not get chance to join you on the race plays. Dam kid you were hot. Well once darn rain stopped screwing up our ball games we took 4th place. We were 4 & 2 in this tourney. Not good but not a wash out either. Kids played real hard and that is all I can ask. Next week we have a weekend off. We are all looking forward to it. Record for year now 32 & 8. Tomorrow a league game under the lights at 8 p.m. Kids all excited about it. We play town right next to ours so it's big to them. All about bragging rights. ;)

I hear some books are now cancelling bets on McNish since he never actually started the race. Apparently his clutch failed on the grid and he never got away. Can anyone confirm this? According to ITV McNish never officially started the race.

I didn't see the race at all. Can someone tell me what happened?

I saw this on f1.com. I really would be curious what the rules at most places are in this regard. I understand your comments tt boy assuming you bet against McNish but what if you bet on him? I think I'd want my money back.

Disappointment for McNish at home Grand Prix 07 Jul 2002

Toyota's British Grand Prix ended early in Silverstone today. Allan McNish failed to make it off the starting line after a clutch problem caused his engine to stall while team-mate Mika Salo retired on lap 16 with transmission failure.
The Scot was very disappointed not to even start his home GP, a race he had been looking forward to for some time. "Basically the lights went green and there was a problem with the clutch and the engine stalled," he explained in a press release.

"It was not the same problem we had in Imola. We tried to get the car going back in the garage but we couldn't and by that time we were outside of the 90% time you need to be classified, so the race was over.

"Needless to say I am extremely disappointed, not only for myself and the team but for the fans supporting me here at my home race."

Mika Salo had fared a little better, although he was not happy with his start, and had run as high as eighth until technical gremlins brought his efforts to a halt.

"I didn't get such a good start and lost a position by the first corner, but things seemed okay," he commented. "Then the rain started and our lack of downforce really showed and we struggled with little grip.

"I had a small spin and at the end there was a problem with the transmission, something broke in the drive train, and I stopped. Very disappointing after such a good qualifying yesterday."

Team president Ove Andersson added: "A weekend to forget for us, but again there is plenty to learn from. I was particularly encouraged by yesterday's qualifying, but unfortunately events in the race were not so positive. Our car is clearly not as good in the wet as in the dry and we have to work on this."

Monza is the next stop for team when they undertake a four-day test beginning on Tuesday. McNish will drive for the first two days with Salo completing the test on Thursday and Friday.
