New York (SI.com) -- The Denver Broncos are trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins, according to a report from ESPN.com. In exchange, the Broncos will receive a second-round pick in next week's NFL draft and an additional second-round pick in the 2011 draft, the report states.
The deal is contingent on league approval and on Marshall passing his physical.
Marshall signed a $2.521 million tender from the Broncos on Tuesday, a development that allowed Denver to finally move the troubled wideout. Marshall posted his third consecutive 100-catch season in 2009, but has butted heads with coach Josh McDaniels and had several run-ins with the law.
The Seahawks, who flew Marshall in for a visit during free agency, were a popular rumored trade partner, but were not willing to part with the sixth pick in the 2010 draft in order to secure Marshall.
The Dolphins addressed arguably their greatest need by adding Marshall, one of the game's most talented young receivers. The Broncos now face a hole at receiver, but boast three picks in the draft's first two rounds.
