Rider -6 over St Peter **
Rider is 11-2 the past two yrs in the zoo.This is a team that has the talent to win the MAAC and after beating Miss St early on Siena knew this was a race.The Miss St game swelled the Broncos heads and they still haven't recovered.They played marist monday and won big.The question is "did they wake up or just beat one of the worst D-1 teams in the nation.On the other hand Peter goes out and beats Niagara and Iona and has now won 4 of last 7.Peters two gds that I have said are the best tandem in the MAAC leon and jenkins go out and score 28 and 27 pts vs NU.Rider in off. stats are much better then Peter in almost everything.Peter is ranked No 1 defense.Think playing at the Zoo will be tough.Peter can't shoot 3's and is not a good FT% team.
Robinson is a solid gd with Thompson who has had some big games in the past vs. Peter.But I think Ringgold and Gadson inside have the advantage over Peters frontline.Not a big play because Peter has 2 good gds,hustles like crazy and can play defense.Think Rider can win this game by 7-10 pts.
Loy Md -14 over Marist *
That is a lot of points to give up but the foxes are bad and on the road.They rank dead last in the MAAC in all these..offense,defense,margin,FT%,FG%,Rebounding,etc,etc...The greyhounds need Harvey to win games and his status is still unknown.but I think with Barney and 6'10 Walker that could be enough for the greyhounds to win big.Foxes can't shoot.They will play zone and let the greyhounds shoot from the outside.Not crazy about the number because I'm not sure Loy can score that much.If harvey plays add a * otherwise its a small play for the hounds...
