On Sunday, I played Cedarbrook. It's located 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh.

Last month, Michelle Wie played this same course trying to qualify for the Men's U.S. Amateur. She carded a 1 over for 36 holes.

Suffice it to say, today I wouldn't have made the cut for the Men's U.S. Amateur.

Other than Michelle being the opposite sex, the biggest difference between us is the loyalty of our fans.

Usually, there is strength and safety in large groups.

But today, I feared for my life. They shouted obsenites and said things like "fraud, imposter, bum" There was snickering and laughter during my backswing and if that wasn't enough of a distraction, they threw things at my head.

It's a difficult lesson to learn, but today I realized golf fans are fickle.

Despite all the years I entertained and amazed my galleries with my shotmaking prowess, they turned their back on me today. Granted, I hit a few wayward shots, but based on previous reputation, I felt I deserved better.
