That's funny, Buddy. Mine for the last 30 years is to learn to play the piano. Maybe we could form a band.

It's interesting to me guys

It's interesting to me guys

My mother started me on piano lessons at age 5. I cannot remember NOT being able to play the piano. I'm 51 now and my old rock and roll band from high school is re-uniting this summer to play a small gig as we have for the past 5 years. We should be called '35 Years After'.

Thanks Mom.

:)

Skinar,

Very funny,"35 years after"

We're about the same age, do you remember a group called "10 Years After?"
If you do, then a little trivia for you, do you remeber the lead in that group?

BTW, where are you playing during the summer?

Sure I remember 'Ten Years After', that was the exact reference I was making - Alvin Lee, Woodstock.

We're playing at the local county fair. I live in very rural Kentucky and the county fair is a big event, people come home from all over the world (literally) for this week long event (these are locals returning, I'm not implying this is a well known event). We haven't played at the fair since 1967, it should be a real hoot. It's an opportunity to see old friends and have a few brews.

I kinda had you figured about that age based upon your posts in the draft thread. I don't feel so bad about being 51 now either :) And I like your reference to knowledge, you and I would be on the opposite side in some debates but I respect your opinion because you were there during the times. I also have a lot of respect for people who volunteered for service back in the days, I got lucky with a high lottery number and never got drafted. I always considered that being lucky based upon what most of my friends at the time were telling me who DID get drafted. Personally, I only know two guys who joined who didn't catch a low lottery number or weren't otherwise drafted - true volunteers - they both made it home, although one of them never has been the same, even after 35 years.
