Actually, I've read something quite opposite to that... Yesterday's NY papers mentioned that they would go after Burnett because he and Pavano are close friends. One of the main reasons people believe Vazquez was so unhappy is that he didn't have any close friends on the team. With Pavano, trading for Burnett, dumping Brown, moving Vazquez the Yanks are not going to be a player for Johnson unless there is a 3-team trade. One senario was Vazquez to CHW, Garland and Konerko to ARZ and Johnson to NY. Between Burnett and Beltran versus just Randy I think management is leaning towards the first option...
