Yeah, you're right Clem. Even the public response is flat on this issue; most Americans aren't really concerned about this stuff. Hey folks, your 4th Amendment rights are going down the toilet! [crickets]...So what.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The average person has no idea what the Bill of Rights is, or why these rights might be useful.
For instance, what do most people do when they get arrested? After the cops read them their 5th Amendment rights, do people try to exercise these rights by insisting on speaking to an attorney? Heck no, they waive their rights and start talking to the police.
