Unions might be our last hope for decent labor laws in this country. The neocons want us to be like China. I hope it doesn't go that way. All levels of work deserve respect and decent wages.

I am a former Ford Motor Co. supervisor, and if you think unions are a good thing, we should have lunch sometime. I can tell you about the forklift drivers that make over 100k a year. I'll tell you about the GEN pool where people sit in a lunchroom all day and are paid to do crosswords because the union was guaranteed to have a specific amount of jobs in the contract, but no business unit is willing to claim them. It's a joke, and I know some of you back unions, but you probably haven't seen the damage the UAW has caused.
