Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
My wife and I just purchased new bedroom furniture. She is very happy and I guess I am too, when she is happy, Im happy
Anyway, the stuff gets delivered, all seven pieces. The two delivery guys are nice, and hard working. So I start looking at the stuff as they put the bed together, and I see some knicks and scratches, on one piece
:(, then some more on another piece, and yet even more on the largest piece (the dresser) :cursin:
One of the guys had to call in to service about something unrelated to this delivery, and then says; "why dont you talk to the service people, I have them on line"
So this woman asks me whats wrong........I told her I see some knicks/dents/gouges and scratches....she says, where are they?
Me: Well there is one on the Armoire in the upper left side, and another over by this drawer.....
Her: Is that all?
Me: No
Her: Where else?
Me: I havent looked at all the furniture yet..........
Then we get cut off by the delivery guys cell phone, they are done, end of the day, and are eager to take off, so I say addios, and think I will call the next day.
Two days go by, we look closer and closer at the new bedroom set, and each piece has at minimum 2-3 imperfections. The dresser has 12 of these spots.

So my question for any fellow MJ's that might know about this:
When you buy "new" furniture, how new should it be?
They say they will send a repair guy out, or we can have it replaced? I dont want to be a jerk moon1 , just not sure how far to go with this?
Thanks for any help!! :bigear:

If I buy something new then they damn well better deliver it in mint condition.

I would demand it be replaced and if the new stuff had scratchs back it goes again. Would you accept a car delivered with scratchs ? Because its furniture and hard to get in and out we let them slide ? baaaaaaa hoosechit !

Don't let them get away with selling you second hand furniture.

And what the hell is a repair guy going to do to scratchs ? Get real ! They are pulling your chain.

Someone is sitting in the furniture store saying.... can you believe we got rid of that
scratched up stock furniture #3222 7 piece set ....hahahahhahaha

If it aint that bad and you can live with it, offer to settle for 200 bucks. It will cost them
that much to send the guys back out and pick up the scratched up crap they tried to
pawn off on you.

Close friend had this problem - contact the company and demand they bring "perfect" replacements or tell them to come pick up their furniture and get a full refund. If you prefer you should be able to have them give you cash back if the defects are things you can live with but I would get a considerable discount.

Good Luck!

Good stuff you two!

Called the service department, and they are sending someone out next week. I told them a couple of pieces of the 7 are pretty dinged up. They said lets have him take a look.

Not sure if this has any bearing, but, we paid $4 K + for this stuff..........

Any Furniture people out here? sure would like the other sides take?

Thx
