BYU -10 over Coastal *******
This game was put together 3 days ago.. So not of a lot of preparation for either team.. Both teams are 9-0 and feel really disrespected .. BYU even more after being ranked 13th and Coastal 18th. BYU does have to travel to SC for this game... But BYU has one of the best offenses in the country and also one of the top defenses. BYU offensive is led by Wilson one of the top qb's in the country. He has 2700 yds passing ,14 td's and only 2 ints. He has an Off line that is huge all +300 pounds and all 6'5,6'6. and have given up only 8 sacks all year. BYU also has one of the top rushing attacks avg over 230 yds per game. A balanced offense in the air and on the ground. Algier has over 850 yds rushing. And WR Milne has 900 yds rec and 6 td's. This offense is physical up front and a qb with poise and somewhat mobile with a few rushing Td's. On defense they are solid with their front 7 and are on top of some national defensive categories. On defense they avg giving up 13 pts per game.
Meanwhile Coastal also has a balanced offense with a freshmen QB McCall who has 1,700 yds passing,5 rushing td's.and only a few ints. He has a stud wr in Heileya who has 8 td's. They have solid rb's and also has a balanced offense avg 226 in the air and 220 rushing. They also have a good defense and allow only 140 yds rushing per game.
Both need " style" points but its late in the game. BYU needs it even more since Coastal already has the Sun Belt Championship game on tap. Think BYU is bigger,stronger,quicker on both sides of the ball. Both teams have been criticized for strength of schedule ..But BYU has a big time quality QB and although Coastal has a good defense they haven't seen an offense like this in the Sun Belt .. Think BYU wins this by a few td's and Coastal still has something to play for in the Sun conf championships. BYU is independent and really isn't given a shot to make the final four. But they would like to win big no matter what. Don't think the committee will give them to much respect even if they win big since they will say Coastal although 9-0 hasn't beaten anybody.
Coastal has had a few bad years going 5-7 last year. Then 5-7,3-9.. Now 9-0. But when you look at BYU they were 7-6,7-6,4-9,and now 9-0. BYU makes a statement and really thinks they can cover the 10 points. Strong play
