EARLY LEAN TO BYU- I THINK THEIR DEF WILL BE ALOT BETTER WITH THE NEW DEF COORDINATOR AND GA TECH IS A LITTLE THIN AND A NEW QB AND WITH BYU HAVING A GREAT HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE--BYU - 3 1/2-GL

bought the half point and layed -3.

GT has a very weak kicking situaton. They are breaking in new punter and fg kicker. With the freshmen at qb I expect Gailey to trim down the play book. I dont expect Tech to have many sustained drives and they should bog down in the redzone. Then we have a suspect punter taking the field or his sister field goal kicker going wide right.

BYU has one of the best field goal kickers and one of the best best punters in the country. It happens to be the same guy and thus a trimmed playbook for the Byu qb wont hurt has much as it will Tech. Great punts and consistent kicking give us the edge if this turns out to be field position game.

Of course Crowton and the boys could hang 28 on Tech, but I only see Tech scoring touchdowns on broken plays or a fluke.

Byu 23 Tech 7

How bout kicking in that thin Provo air? Just the confidence those GT kickers need. I like BYU @ -3.5. :toast:
