oregon -20: central arkansas has been turning some heads lately. they flew into los angeles a month ago and gave a pretty good ucla team a scare before bowing 106-101 in ot. they returned to california the 1st weekend of december and lost to san francisco by 2 before blowing out cal in berkeley by 27. they then returned to arkansas to pick up a nice 15 pt revenge thumping of ark-lr, a team that had beaten them 2 weeks prior. now the good stuff. after a week off for exams, the bears head out on their 3rd west coast road trip in a month, but first make a sunday stop in morehead ky to play the colonels, a team they'd just beaten in conway 3 weeks prior. what ensued was a 98-94 ot loss. take a look at the box by quarters:

Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 OT T
C Arkansas 7 13 22 36 16 94
Morehead St. 14 20 21 23 20 98

20 pts in the 1st half, 74 pts in the 2nd half and ot. that loss had to hurt. so then these kids get on a plane for eugene to play the beavers with an 11 pm eastern tipoff tonight. enough to make anyone's biological clock go haywire. meanwhile, the ducks are just off one of their best halves of basketball this year, coming from 10 points down at the half to give fresno state their first home loss of the year. after tonight's game their off for 9 days until they open the conference schedule vs utah at home.

pomeroy makes oregon an 18 pt favorite, yet the ducks opened spotting 20 and has the line has bounced between 20 and 21, with the dog getting plenty of public support. i see a good chance that duck coach dana altman is going to let the dogs run tonight. look for a big game from super frosh keeny wooten getting his 1st start filling in for concussed paul white. that 164 total is telling also.

I am beginning to believe betting first half lines with heavy fav may be the way to go.
At least you don?t get backdoored at the end of the game.
Ducks were up 15 at the half and just stopped playing hard.

yeah i saw lowell. at least was right that coach altman was going to run but you're right, no duck interest in defending in the 2nd half.
