Even though K-State is a very good football team, and ranked high in the polls, I don't see them covering a huge opening day spread of 27. Yes, California is in a rebuilding phase, but opening day games are all about the offenses struggling and the scoring at a minimum. Take the Golden Bears and the points to the bank baby.

Cal +27 3units
Good Luck

Why, you ask REB---Low Scoring is the name of this football game! You can take that to the bank.

Hotter than Hell Springs
ntexes -
i will give you that cal is a much improved team (going from 1-10 to 7-5), but much improved will not be near good enough on sat vs the wildcats. k st returns 12 starters, none more imporant than huge play maker Ell Robertson. k st was 8-4 ATS, winnings its last 5 games by an average of 44.4 ppg. a low scoring game, yes, for cal - k st returns 5 starters to a nation leading defense in both points and yards allowed.

take K ST -28

A couple of trends on the game. K-State is 23-5 ats in their last 27 non conference game Last 5 years being favored by atleast 20 point they are 23-4 ats. Which makes Kst the play for me. :)

Biased Opinion

Biased Opinion

K-State -14.5 1st Half.
K-State -28 Game

I don't post very often but thought I would offer some thoughts on my alma mater. KSU
:D
KSU
? marks IMHO: Roberson 10-15 yard pass to Tight End. The use of Hill is critical if the Cats want to have a more balanced attack on Offense. Sproles & Roberson ground game is good but the attack must be balanced. KSU has the experienced Lineman with depth.

Defensive Secondary: If they can step up and learn what T-Newman taught them they should be fine but you can't teach speed. I would expect the defensive line and backers will put enough pressure on Cal's QB to keep them off balance (Buhl,Houchins, Montgomery, Shull, etc... ) we will see. Arrowhead will obviously be like an oven. It was 95 degrees at 9:00 last night and no change in forecast for the next 3 days. If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Who knows? When I first saw this line I thought no way but that's why I like it.

I don't know anything about Cal other than what others have pointed out on the forum. Very few returning starters.

Good Luck to all
