call your mom on her special day

I don't think we tell our parents enough just how much they mean to us. For some it's too late, for the rest of us we should take a minute, make a call and tell them that we love them. Especially mom on mother's day. I bought my mom some flowers and a book and we're having her and dad over for dinner.

just talked to her. she turns 80 this month and won't slow down. she and my sister are driving back from a week in florida. i am lucky in that she lives a few blocks away and i usually stop in for coffee every morning. her health is good and that is our greatest blessing. take care.
