HI TJ, I NOTICED YOU LIVE IN PALM HARBOR, I LIVED THERE 22 YRS AGO. I HAD BOUGHT MY 1ST HOUSE A LITTLE NORH OF THE CHIMP FARM ( which is probably gone now ) HEADING TOWARD TARPON. I WAS ON THE LEFT THERE WAS A SMALL PLAZA WITH A RESTRUANT AND LOUNGE, I LIVED DIRECTLY BEHIND, ACROSS A SMALL POND. DOES THAT RNG A BELL?

I WAS WONDERING IF IT`S ALL BUILT UP WITH BUSINESS NOW, AND IF THEY WIDEN ALT. 19 TO 4 LANES?

WHEN I WAS THERE IT WAS LIKE LIVING IN THE COUNTRY, REALLY NICE.

LET ME KNOW IF ANY INTERESTING THINGS HAVE HAPPENED THERE IN THE LAST 22YRS. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU. GL MAX

Sorry Madmax, just noticed this.

Right now, Highway 19 is 4 lanes of HELL!!! Construction and traffic!!! Pinellas county is the #1 county in Florida as far as growth!!!!! You would NOT recognize the place now!!!!!

Been here 2 weeks and all I hear people say is:

1) Unbelievable growth!!!!

2) Traffic is a NIGHTMARE!!! (19, Belcher, Sunset Point, etc) but more so 19. (Alt 19 is not too bad)

3) Rt 60 (Gulf to bay) is nothing more than businesses and lights!!

4) They are cutting into business/residential property ALL over to widen most roads.

Other than that, the beaches are awesome, honeymoon island, howard park are great and the babes that walk/roller blade the Pinellas trail are SWEET!!!!

as far as where you lived, it is ALL businesses up and down the road!! Only been down Alt 19 once, but think it's still 2 lanes.

YOU WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE THIS PLACE ANYMORE!!!!!!

From Pinellas park (and actually further south) up to Tarpon springs (on 19) it's all businesses!!!!!!!! A Lowes next to a Home Depot, BILLIONS of strip malls.

A far cry from when you left!!! (chimp farm?? country???) No longer my friend!!! Looks like Tampa!!!!!!

THANKS TJ,SOMETIMES YOU JUST WHAT TO NOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE YOU LEFT; IT`S SORT OF SAD IN A WAY, BUT THAT`S PROGRESS! AT LEAST HOWARD PARK IS STILL THERE, I USED TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER THERE AND WALK THE BRAND NEW WOODEN CATWALK THROUGH THE SWAMP.
