OK...

You all know where my heart is today ! The bigger question is where should my wallet be today ?

Miami -2 in NE is a very indicative line of where VEGAS wants you to put your $$$...

It seems to me it should be NE -2 or -3.

Since today could either end my season or start a new playoff run I have decided :

NO PLAY

BEST OF LUCK !

Some interesting stats to look at

Miami have won six of their last seven games against the Patriots

In the last seven games between the teams, the Patriots have only a 28.6 percent conversion rate on third down.

Dave Wannstedt is 4-1 against Bill Belichick

Ricky Williams has gained 1,668 yards and the Patriots are 27th against the run.

Jay Fiedler seems to get into Belichick's head; he's 3-1 against the Patriots' coach while Tom Brady is 1-2 against the Dolphins.

The Dolphins have a 5-1 record against teams better than .500

The Pats are 0-7 this year against teams with records of .500 or better.

Just something to ponder. Going with Miami at -1.5

Ditto Tito...

The weather here in New England is not bad for Dec 29th. It should be in the mid to upper 30's by gametime with minimal winds. So I don't think that will hinder the Fins.

I just believe Miami has more weapons with the biggest advantage at RB..

Ricky will run against the Pat's...

I'm on the Fins as well

Hate to say it guys but the public play by my account looks to be the Phins. Everyone seems to be on them.

You know what that means !

Go Pats !

Scott,

Vegas made a mistake when they put that line out at a pick. It happens.

The Pat's have been playing some real patsie's (pun intended) lately and I think that catches up with them today...

Good Luck to you anyway. We shall see...

highroller, glad your around today to get your money back.
Tito hit everything on the head. New England is not 1/2 the team they were last season. They are extremely injured & lack any confidence against quality opponents. I'm a season ticket holder and am not going today because of the flu.

Miami stumbled last week in a tough spot against a Minnesota team that always plays well at Home. New England has virtually no home field advantage this season, and as Tito eluded to, Patriots are terrible against quality opponents. Dolphins own New England, Count on it.

I'm sure you read about izzo & hauard sending Thomas Pictures after the Super Bowl of:thefinger with Super Bowl rings. Dolphins get revenge today big.

Hmm, I thought they got revenge earlier this year. How many games do they need to win before they consider their revenge complete?

I don't think the Pats lack confidence, and I don't think they're "terrible" against quality teams. And what constitutes quality in a league where parity is the norm? I mean the Steelers lost to Houston then beat Tampa Bay. Teams change on a week to week basis. The fact is that the Pats have come up short against some very good playoff teams but that doesn't mean they are incapable of beating Miami this week. You know Miami, that same team that lost twice to a Buffalo team the Pats BEAT twice.

Win or lose, I'll always back my team

I, like the rest of Joe Publics will be on Miami. The opening question in this thread should be can New England win in New England ? Against Miami, I don't think so. Could care less that everyone is on Miami. We have heard it all Public loses, Two teams going in different directions etc. Miami in a small route, 27-17.

I'm defining quality teams the only way I know how. Teams with.500 or better records, New England 0-7.

Well the Pats beat Pittsburgh and the Jets, both above .500. They beat KC which is .500 and has been above/below for much of the year. They beat Buffalo when Buffalo was above .500. So technically they could be thought of as 4-3.

But it appears as if you only want to count games when the opponents they have played have losing records.

That's a pretty scewered 0-7 if you ask me.

I mean if you want to say the win over the Jets doesn't count because they had a losing record at the time then you have to say the Bills game counts because they were winning at the time.

Watch the first step as you get off, it's a doozy :D

PatsJam, I can't believe I'm debating this, but the correcte way to follow the statistic is what the teams record is WHEN THE GAMES PLAyed. That is the way that statistic is drawn. With injuries strengthen of schedule etc. that is the only way that statistic is viable. Example if you played Miami before quarterback injury you were playing a.750 team. After several losses with Lucas as quarterback you were playing a far weaker team. Like it or not its how the statistic is read.

As far as bandwagon jumper, I have been a season ticket holder since first ****ing game at Schaefer Stadium. However I make no qualms about the fact I am a professional gambler first, that's how I make a Living. Not playing against my favorite teams, that went out in about 10 grade.

Argued all you want & continue throwing your money at a under achieving team. This is a far cry from last years team, and they have been horrendous ats.
Good luck, hope you didn't play them for 2 much.

Sick ?

Sick ?

What can I say....Miami has lacked a running game for 15+ years.

The word was all we need is a running game and the team is complete...

BRING ON...

THE NFL RUSHING LEADER !

RICKY ! RUNS FOR 180+ against the PATS

and as of now it looks like the DOLPHINS will be watching the

playoffs from their couches.

F*CK ME & F*CK THEM for their lack of heart and desire.

Its still hard to believe Miami could have lost that game. All indicators pointed to a phins blow out. Thats the NFL I guess.

Joe Public cant believe it either.
