Man this is nuts, Sosa hit his 47th and he still has about 4 more at bats in this game today. I think in the month of Aug he has 13 or 14 hrs and we still have a little over 1 week left. He has hit 20+ in a month before and at the rate he is clobbering them he should be right nose to nose with Bonds by the end of this month. He is also getting more pitches to hit, since McGriff is right behind him in the Lineup. I see Bonds and Sosa tied at 55 hrs on Sept 1. I think both have a shot at breaking the record together.
